The only app capable of playing mkv 5.1 i found , I recommend

It plays all formats as it should and the icon and general design look really good. But the problem is that on my MacBook Pro Retina 15“ 2013 it used over 60% cpu which is not at all good. This needs to be fixed.

did not play my mkv’s, other players do it… Other than that it looks good and professional ...

Doesnt work in same waay from one video to another

seems okay, but it prompts you to rate it every time you use it. Also prompts you to upgrade, which I get, but the rating prompt is annoying. other than that, seems like a fine player.

It did what was expected and played a converted file very well.

what do you expect when is free? Total disappointment. Picture was OK but the audio was not there playing MP4 file.

full screen on 27” iMac - no problem. Subtitle - no problem. To me it is better than Mplayer

its good and coverts the files. Files avi,mov,mp4

my main video files are from home made video and this app opens most if not all of them. so far I have tried only a few video from different sources.
